Let me start by saying I had never been to a Salvadoran restaurant before, so Paseo San Miguel was my first impression and it did not disappoint. I’ve always been a fan of pupusas, and this place came highly recommended. The restaurant looks great, but fair warning: if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you might drive right past it. It’s a bit low-key from the outside. Once inside, though, the food speaks for itself. The pupusas are delicious honestly, I could eat three in one sitting… and I did. I ordered a cheese pupusa, a mixed one, and a chicharron pupusa. All were handmade and cooked to order, and you can really taste the freshness. I did try a shrimp pupusa once, but I’m still searching for the shrimp. I wouldn’t recommend that one. Stick to the classics, they do those best. As for drinks, I’m not a big fan of the Salvadoran peanut horchata. I’d definitely recommend the ensalada fruit drink instead, it’s refreshing and pairs perfectly with the food. Overall, Paseo San Miguel is a great introduction to Salvadoran cuisine. If you love pupusas or want to try something new, this spot is absolutely worth checking out.

Passed this restaurant every week and finally stopped by today to try out. It is a wonderful discovery. Delicious Salvadorian sopa de Patas , what a bowl of deliciousness. Balance flavor with just enough of spicy, the cow feet and tripe cooked perfectly. Service is very friendly even the restaurant got super busy when I got there at 2pm Sunday afternoon. Definitely will go back and try more dishes.
